WEI constructs and catalyzes opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the “missing middle” in traditional and non-traditional sectors.
We recognize that for women entrepreneurs the “missing middle” is diverse and relative to economic context in terms of size, legal status, location, and sector. Regardless, they face the same basic challenges: access to finance, access to markets, access to digital resources, access to opportunities, and access to networks.
Our objectives are to:
- Create pathways for women to build and scale enterprises by facilitating access to networks, markets, resources, and enabling ecosystems
- Build pipelines of scalable, viable and bankable women-owned/-led enterprises that can compete for financing and compete in markets and value chains
