Since the November 2019 International Conference on Women’s Economic Empowerment, the world has experienced a profound series of social, economic, environmental and political shocks largely precipitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This crisis has affected every individual in every corner of the planet. Unfortunately women and girls bear a disproportionate share of the risks and costs of this pandemic. This virtual event which is designed to build on the incredible energy and commitment of the participants WEI invited to the 2019 Conference and to extended global members of the WEI network. Therefore we invite you to engage, share, debate and act on the critical issues impacting women and girls and to reflect of what we have achieved over the past year, while recognizing the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We encourage you to participate in the roundtable discussions, network, and enjoy this global WEI community interaction.
